PEBC RESOURCES

A lot of students forget to read the PEBC resources.  There is an examination blueprint which outlines the nine NAPRA comptencies.  These are almost like learning objectives which are expected of entry-to-practice pharmacists.  It tells you exactly what you should be able to do and how you should study to meet these competencies.  If you want to read more about the NAPRA competencies, you can access this file.

The most useful resources for mastering the Patient Care competency would be the Compendium of Therapeutic Choices.  Other resources include:  ​

Although the Compendium of Therpaeutic Choices is a good starting point, some topics require more in-depth reading with guidelines.

 

Canadian Healthcare Network is a website which contains all the relevant guidelines; registration is free.  However this list is very long and comprehensive.  The following is a list of common topics which are most important for PEBC:
